You can choose to buy our extra virgin olive oil in glass bottles or in stainless steel tanks. Stainless steel tanks preserve for a longer period the higher concentration of phenolic antioxidants – oil’s flavor/fruity characteristics – and they also reduce the degree of oxidation and the defects due to oxidation. Stainless steel is a safe, non-reactive metal that can be used for olive oil (or other food) storage, it is unbreakable, and furthermore it is one of the most recycled materials in the world. Last but not least, stainless steel tanks are 30% lighter compared to glass bottles, and we all know that energy saving in transport of goods is a relevant factor.
